IRRIBIGDATA aims to collect data concerning the whole irrigation system at different territorial scale, that can be the area managed by a single irrigation water operator (e.g. Irrigation Consortia) or the whole the river district.

IRRIBIGDATA has been developed to collect data about water reuse sources also and related employments in order to evaluate beneficial effect of such practice at large scale.
IRRIBIGDATA aims to collect data concerning the whole irrigation system at different territorial scale, that can be the area managed by a single irrigation water operator (e.g. Irrigation Consortia) or the whole the river district. Such data can be used for operational purposes, for water drought ad scarcity management and for future water usage planning according to the WFD 2000/60/CE Directive and to the Italian environmental legislation. All infrastructural data contained in IRRIBIGDATA are georeferenced and monitoring water data are collected at different time scales and historicized at yearly scale in order to build long term time series
