WATER4ALL

WATER4ALL measures groundwater in real-time to estimate lake levels and issue alerts. Data is accessible via web and apps. It includes a study on climate impacts, raising awareness and supporting sustainability in the Ohrid and Prespa Lakes region.

Continuous monitoring of water quantity status basedon real – time measurement of groundwater level andproviding basis for on time planning actions to preventthe systems for water deficit, as well as data for long –term planning, forecast and simulation of demands.
Access to data, by a wider scientific and socialcommunity, inclusion of stakeholders in problemidentification and solving, raising awareness aboutclimate impacts on water scarcity, initiatingcollaboration in a common action of all involved sectorstowards smart use of water.
Continuous raising awareness for water scarcity andwater quantity and socio-economic impacts in theregion, and therefore contributing to socialtransformation towards more climate resilient and moresustainable lakes and region.

TRL5. Laboratory testing of integrated system
Our company engages reputable experts with over 20 years of experience in development of calculation models for groundwater level measured and presented / accessed / remotely and their correlation with surface water in the watershed. The models have been developed and tested in studies in the country and region, therefore the proposed model will be tailored for the types of watershed and aquifers specific for the region. On the other side, the company has a pool of 10 years’ experience professionals in working with different stakeholders in raising awareness for social transformations in different regions. The proposed model will be tailored for the social, demographic and economic characteristics specific for the transboundary region of the lakes.Components of the proposed system have been applied in real life projects, but not systematically. In this use case, the integration willbe subject of demonstration, to increase the innovation scalability and replicability.

How does it work?

The innovation WATER4ALL addresses groundwater measurement and monitoring, correlating it to lake levels and enhancing climate resilience knowledge for the region. This supports short- and long-term planning and climate-adapted water resource management. It improves water quantity monitoring and identifies causes for level decreases. Visualizing status through images and disseminating research on socio-economic conditions and climate change promotes social responsibility. WATER4ALL combines technological tools and social governance, bridging gaps in understanding climate impacts on water resources. This dual approach increases climate resilience knowledge, driving social transformation in the Ohrid and Prespa Lakes region, impacting environmental, economic, and social sectors.

The WATER4ALL innovation was developed as part of the applied research and development activities of the company. However, some elements of the innovation were developed in close collaboration with the business and academy sector.Further the innovation was confirmed in different projects with raising awareness and tackling different topics on sustainability, climate changes, water and extreme weather events.

The technological element of the innovation WATER4ALL can be dependent of the physical features of the aquifer environment. The social element of the innovation can be dependent on users’ interest and engagement.
