The innovation, “GreenSense & Solutions,” has reached TRL 6 due to several key achievements. The project has advanced beyond laboratory studies and basic technological integration to demonstrate a representative model or prototype system in a relevant environment. The following milestones contribute to the current TRL level: Integrated Monitoring Devices: Pollution measurement devices for air and water quality have been procured, integrated, and tested in a simulated operational environment, showcasing their functionality and reliability. Operational Website: The user-friendly website, a critical component of the innovation, has been developed and tested to ensure seamless data dissemination and community engagement. Field Deployment: Two dedicated team members from Paeon Marketing have been actively deployed, one in the office and the other in the field, for one year. This operational deployment demonstrates the practical integration of the innovation in a relevant environment. Community Interaction: Initial community engagement strategies, including awareness campaigns and feedback mechanisms, have been implemented and evaluated. While detailed test results and studies may not be available here, the mentioned achievements collectively contribute to the demonstration of the innovation in a relevant environment, justifying its TRL 6 designation.

How does it work?

The “GreenSense & Solutions” project addresses pollution in the Ohrid/Prespa Lakes by deploying real-time water and air quality monitoring devices. It integrates these measurements into a user-friendly website, offering open data access for both local authorities and the community. The project supports the creation of a physical multidimensional incubator by engaging the community through daily updates, educational content, and on-site personnel. This holistic approach enhances both technical and social aspects, aligning with the goals of Case Study #4 to address environmental and community challenges in the region.

The innovation, “GreenSense & Solutions,” was developed through a collaboration between Paeon Marketing and environmental research and technology partners. Paeon Marketing, a marketing agency, identified the need for innovative solutions to address climate-related challenges. To ensure a comprehensive and technologically advanced approach, Paeon Marketing partnered with experts in environmental science, technology, and data analytics.
Paeon Marketing leveraged its expertise to design a user-friendly website, create educational content, and implement community engagement strategies. Simultaneously, environmental research and technology partners provided their knowledge to integrate cutting-edge pollution measurement devices, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the collected data.
This collaborative model combined marketing insights with environmental expertise, resulting in a holistic solution for addressing air and water pollution in the Korca Region. The partnership reflects a commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration in tackling pressing environmental challenges.
